User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0 Build ID: 2015063000 Steps to reproduce: Every time I start Firefox, I get a message reading "It looks like you haven't started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back!" I restart the browser several times every day. There does not seem to be a way to disable this annoying message.
Update: This issue does not happen on a newly created profile. Needless to say, I'd like to get rid of it without losing all my settings.

Thanks for the report! You can check the dependencies of bug 498181 for ideas on what could cause this. If you can dig deeper into this and provide additional details, that would be appreciated. I'm not familiar with this code to ask specific questions, hoping that someone who's familiar with 498181 chimes in.

It sounds as though my issue is identical to bug 1187954. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge of Firefox internals to guess why the prompt keeps coming up (apparently some file timestamp? I don't know which file it checks, though), but at least that other issue mentioned a non-exposed config variable (browser.disableResetPrompt) that I was able to add to about:config. Whether or not this can be fixed, it would be really helpful if this were set the first time you declined a reset, or at least with a "don't ask again" option. Failing that, at least the config variable should be visible in about:config without manually adding it...
