Hi Peter, We need to localize the content in the poster: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rztq6m8qz1fkgv0/dataPrivacyPrinciples_v3.jpg?dl=0 Steps: - Localize the content here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b1XiBgoRvhHYv5DuwTjMI54uuu9XnGsBNIqQGnEQfgY/edit#gid=506668853 - Review Image file - Finalize and signoff If you have any recommendation on the appropriate fonts to use to fit the style, please indicate so in this bug to help guide the graphic artist. This will be printed as a poster and displayed in Mozilla offices. Thanks, Peiying
Hi Peiying, Just did the translate in the doc, that's really nice to see this poster. For titles, I intend to keep them in English, and if that's not wanted, I still have them translated in doc. Regarding to the fonts, how about using Source Han Sans made by Adobe and Google? Note that there are differences in glyphs of languages included in the fount, our artist might need Source Han Sans TW. I can review this in output image file later. By the way, would this work be open-licensed, so we can also get it posted in Community Space Taipei ( https://moztw.org/space ) ? Thanks, Peter

Super fast!! This will be shared at MozFest in early Nov. Let's have the titles translated as well. Also, would you have this go through a peer review before it goes to the graphic person? > > Regarding to the fonts, how about using Source Han Sans made by Adobe and > Google? Bob, Irvin, you might want to do a review on the translation of the link in Comment 0?
Hi Peying, if we could get original image files (eg., .ai file) for reviewing, that will be adorable! We may help some minor tweaking like adjust text kerning or choose appropriate font weight, text margin... etc.
Just found that we're lucky to have this translated from blog.mozilla.org already: http://mozlinks.moztw.org/2015/01/mozilla.html Peiying, I think we are good now, you can pass this to our graphic person. Irvin, please update the mozlinks-zh article from the translation I merged. Thanks!
Hi Matt, The Chinese version is in the same file, just go through the tabs on the bottom of the file to find the strings. Refer to comment #1 on recommended font for Chinese to match the style of the poster. If you have any questions, drop them here. Peter and Irvin will be happy to guide you through the process. Thanks!

Hi all, I've attached a high resolution Chinese version of the Privacy Principles poster. Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt, some opinions here: 1) The font is not using the Taiwanese writing style, I have attached a sample for your reference. Also note that punctual marks should be in the exact center. If you are already using Source Han Hans, please ensure your image editor is setting the text blocks in zh-TW locale, or simply use Source Han Sans TC. 2) As they are color blocks, please have the texts justify-aligned so it can look neater. 3) Please also try avoid putting only single word in one line, e.g., for "NO SURPRISES" section, try reduce font size a little bit to have the last line crammed into first 2 lines. 4) I'm not sure how it would be in the final printing, as CMYK usually "looks" darker than RGB color space, but it seems that light green background of "SENSIBLE SETTINGS" block makes the white text difficult to read, maybe we can have the text bolder, or darken the background color? Thanks!
Also ping Irvin to see if he has some more ideas.

Attached image Quick sketch feedback
Here is my quick sketch earlier, same as Peter's points. Also I feel we can ease the letter-spacing slightly to make the paragraph read more comfort. I can help adjusting the poster for these suggestion if we can have original ai files.

Thanks for all the feedback. I am wondering if it would be easier to pass along the PSD file for you to make these adjustments as I am not familiar with the language structure. With regards to point #4 all colours used are from our brand colour palette. I would advise against making the copy bold in this section. Here is a link to the PSD file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hkfmwn0oooujft3/dataPrivacyPrinciples_zh-TW.psd?dl=0
Thanks Matt! Also Pass QA Contact to Irvin.

Hi all - Please let me know when the changes are complete. I will be sending these to the printer for display at MozFest in London and in the offices.
Hi, here is the revised version of the poster. I only adjust the font and related settings. The font we use is Adobe Source Han Sans TC (the same font as Google Noto Sans CJK). The original PSD file is here, https://www.dropbox.com/s/i2cmauwytta1nod/dataPrivacyPrinciples_zh-TW.psd?dl=0
Matt, would you like to check again?

Thanks Irvin, this looks great, good to go ahead with from my point of view. Matt

Thank you to all! Just wanted to confirm that this is the version I should send to the printer and the version in DropBox is the same? https://bug1194821.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8651617
Feedback+ for me, too. Thanks.
(In reply to Stacy Martin [:stacy] from comment #17) > Thank you to all! Just wanted to confirm that this is the version I should > send to the printer and the version in DropBox is the same? > > https://bug1194821.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8651617 Yes, please.
I added the file to your repository https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/zh-TW/privacy/principles.lang * 2 strings were imported from privacy/index.lang * I tried to copy the strings from the Google Docs, please double check the result. * I didn't copy the last string because it's slightly different (mozilla.org doesn't have "by our global community")
(In reply to Francesco Lodolo [:flod] PTO-BACK ON SEP 7 from comment #20) > I added the file to your repository > https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/zh-TW/privacy/ > principles.lang > > * 2 strings were imported from privacy/index.lang > * I tried to copy the strings from the Google Docs, please double check the > result. > * I didn't copy the last string because it's slightly different (mozilla.org > doesn't have "by our global community") Snippets are updated in r145714.
Can I close the bug? I know the poster translation is done.
(In reply to Peiying Mo [:CocoMo] from comment #22) > Can I close the bug? I know the poster translation is done. Nothing more left from my side now, closing. Thanks everyone :-)
