User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0 Build ID: 20150812163655 Steps to reproduce: Windows 10 Home Thunderbird 38.1.0 (also tried 38.2.0, same result) Lightning 4.0.2 Provider for Google Calendar 1.0.4 Actual results: Was working fine previously. Now, creating an event in home calendar or Google calendar which includes an invited attendee does not sync to Google Calendar. Does not matter if attendee is in or out of my organization. We have a corporate account with Google. Creating an event in home calendar or Google calendar which does not an invited attendee works fine and syncs correctly to Google Calendar. Expected results: Events containing invited attendees should sunc to Google Calendar

An event added to your home (=local) calendar is expected to not get synced with Google, that's what the Google calendar is for. Do you get any messages in the error log (ctrl+shift+j)?
Hi Michael. Can you check the error console as MakeMyDay mentioned? Are you creating the event in the primary Google Calendar or a secondary one? The primary calendar is the one with your name on it.

This is likely a regression from bug 1048035 with the same root cause as to be fixed for bug 1197320.
Depends on: 1197320
Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet and if so, what does one do to adjust it on my device

I have the same problem, same error message in the console log Windows XP Provider for google calendar 1.0.4 I get 2 error mesages - one warning as originally posted here and a second failure identical except it invariably says Timestamp: 07/09/2015 15:35:19 Error: [calGoogleCalendar] Adding Item viewing [redacted] failed:2147746065: A request Error Occurred. Status Code: 400 Bad Request Body: { "error": { "errors": [ { "domain": "global", "reason": "required", "message": "Missing attendee email." } ], "code": 400, "message": "Missing attendee email." } } Source File: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/William/Application%20Data/Thunderbird/Profiles/diezq3t6.default/extensions/%7Ba62ef8ec-5fdc-40c2-873c-223b8a6925cc%7D/components/calGoogleCalendar.js Line: 430
Can you please check in the log what data has been send to the server (if that is logged, too)? Can somebody check whether this is still an issue with todays Daily build (unfortunately Linux and Windows only)?
I have the same problem. OS X 10.10.5 Thunderbird 38.2 Lightning 4.0.2 Provider for Google Calendar 1.04 When I create appointments they are directly created in the google calendar but if I invite somebody the event is not created in google calendar and I see this error: Timestamp: 11/09/15 15:09:51 Error: [calGoogleCalendar] Adding Item test03 failed:2147746065: A request Error Occurred. Status Code: 400 Bad Request Body: { "error": { "errors": [ { "domain": "global", "reason": "required", "message": "Missing attendee email." } ], "code": 400, "message": "Missing attendee email." } } Source File: file:///Users/marianolastra/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/lxwtcmoe.default/extensions/%7Ba62ef8ec-5fdc-40c2-873c-223b8a6925cc%7D/components/calGoogleCalendar.js Line: 430
No need to confirm anymore because problem is already fixed with Bug 1197320. Final Lightning 4.0.3 release will be hopefully available soon.
Just updated Thunderbird to 38.2.0. Lightning is still 4.0.2. Notifications are now being sent to invitees but there is still no syncing with Google Calendar.
Hi, I want to share with you what's hapenning to me. If I create an event in Thunderbird 38.2.0 Lightning 4.0.2.1 Provider 1.0.4 it does not sync with Google Calendar. It doesn't matter if I added invites or not. If I create an event in Google Calendar, I immediatly see it in Thunderbird. So the problem seems to be from Thunderbird to Google. I expect this can help. Thanks !!!
I have updated my lightning to 4.0.2.1 and the sync is now working.

Still not working to me. It does not synchro from Thunderbird to Google. With or without invites. It does not do it.
Alejandro, do you have offline-support enabled for the google calendar? If so, does it work if you disable offline support? If that doesn't help, please enable calenfar.debug.log and calendar.debug.log.verbose in the config editor, open the log (ctrl+shift+j), clear all messages, reproduce the issue and subsequently post here all rhe messages that appeared in the log.
(In reply to Alejandro from comment #24) As your are experiencing a similar but different problem I would like to ask you to file a new report and do not hijack this report.
