If a given URL already exists in the bookmark list, adding a second (or third or
20th) copy succeeds, but invisibly. That is, ~/.mozilla/.../bookmarks.html gets
the new copy(ies), but the bookmarks manager doesn't display it/them. This is
extremely counterintuitive (Principle of Least Astonishment) and contrary to
4.x's behavior.
If the intention is to prevent duplicates (which in itself is bogus--I may
_want_ a Linux-PNG-viewer bookmark to live in both my Linux and PNG folders),
then there should be some sort of popup message to that effect ("you have
already bookmarked this page on 18 March 2000")--preferably overridable--and
obviously the link shouldn't be added to the bookmarks file. If this is simply
some sort of weird visibility bug, then, well...it's a weird bug.
