What I think of it is documented in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1145230#c57 - to make a long sotry short, all those crash reports are useless without having symbols for this ubuntu build. That said, try with 40.0.3 and see if it's fixed. If yes, then you're lucky. ;-)

Still happening in 40.0.3

Those are pretty obviously ubuntu builds as all reports have an ubuntu kernel installed - Chris Coulson, do you know why we do apparently not have symbols for those builds?

The scp to symbolpush.mozilla.org failed to upload these symbols on 21st August with the following error:

ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host

I've re-enabled the cronjob that uploads them now, and it will try again in an hour or so

Cool, thanks! FWIW, if you still are using ssh to upload, we should get you switched to the new web-based symbol upload that deals better with the current setup of our crash-stats systems. Did you look into that yet?

Chris, it looks like the symbols don't work, either it's not the right symbols or we might not use the ssh uploads any more, could you try getting the upload done with the HTTP API?

I've requested permission to use the HTTP API. Note, there's a bit of work to do at out end, since we can't do the upload from the build (the builders don't have internet access).

In the meantime I'm still pushing symbols over SSH. I've verified that the ones which were originally missing are definitely there now, but the crashes are all still appearing without symbols.

There aren't any symbols to push at the moment as the crash reporter is switched off. I'll turn it back on again in Firefox 42 and try uploading the symbols
