The device availability links on Mozilla.org's Firefox OS devices page have been audited. Many of the devices are no longer available in their respective countries. The 'get a phone' links need to be updated/removed as soon as possible.

Sheet 2 reflects the 'Features Section Updates' that are required (as per John B's original email- Aug 24).

Should devices with no purchase links be left on the page? For example, the Symphony GoFox F15 was only available in Bangladesh, which is being removed with this update.

Hi Jon.  Yes, please remove the country if there are no devices available.  

We will just need to adjust the language on the page, or make a note to reflect that only countries with devices available for purchase online will be displayed.

Hi Diana - I was actually asking about the inverse situation. What should we do with devices on the page that are not available in any countries? For example, after removing Bangladesh (as dictated in the Google Doc), the Symphony GoFox F15 will have no availability. Should I remove that device from the page entirely? Or should I leave that device on the page with no availability?

If there are no devices in the country, please remove (hide) that country from the dropdown list entirely.

Jon, Diana and I spoke in the week on this. We are not selling the phones online in the countries anymore. People may be able to see them on a shelf, so although we're hiding the country list we'll want to still keep the device on the page so people can see what we have launched/sold in country.

I have made the availability updates and placed the code on demo3 for review:

Please take a few minutes to ensure the availability changes look good. If all is well, I will submit the code for review, with a launch date likely mid next week.

As changing features will have a large impact on L10n, meaning a longer time before they'll be able to go live, I will make those changes in a separate branch.

This change will address bug 1203213 - Spain is being removed entirely.

The Google Doc with updated links (from comment #0) instructs to keep the existing movistar.com link for Mexico [1].

Diana - Should we update the movistar.com link for Mexico [1] to what is suggested in bug 1203215 [2]?
