Netscape 4.x status bar gives a numeric transfer rate (percentage) when loading a web page. Netscape 6.x does not. Many users would like to have this feature back.

We used to have this I think. It may have been intentionally removed. Over to Apps for fixing or won'tfixing.

Looking through the history of necko.properties, it doesn't appear as if we ever had this. I don't remember. Does anyone else?
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla1.1
AFAIK We never had this in Mozilla. It's nice to have and I forgot to file a RFE a year ago. It would be also nice to have additinal status informations like IE (x Objects to load) but that's maybe another RFE.
but i remembered that this bug is a dupe :-) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 88982 ***
