Similar to bug 1003877 (for Android), users might want to use self-hosted Sync and Fx Account servers with Firefox for iOS.

Why is this still an issue?

Because nobody has built it yet. Happy Christmas!
I wonder if there's a way to donate somewhere to help fund this particular issue? Cheers
Used custom Server on Desktop and Android, but my girlfriend with ios cannot. Why is Mozilla doing such differences in their products on various platforms?

Looking Forward :-)
Anyone who wishes this would be done faster can contribute to our BountySource pot - see here:
https://www.bountysource.com/issues/28349461-bounty-allow-usage-of-own-firefox-sync-token-server

Also GitHub discussion for the reference:

Wondering why this issue is still here after over 2 years... this functionality would be highly appreciated.
I sync my Firefox bookmarks across all my devices using my private Mozilla Sync Server.

And after getting an iPhone today, I'm disappointed that Firefox Sync Server is hardcoded to Mozilla Sync Server.

Yes, this should be a good thing to have now.
S. Egbert, as you see importance assigned is quite low at the moment (P5), so probably the only way we can push this forward would be to fundraise bounty big enough that somebody would be eager to dedicate some of their dev time to this. Current $197 is too low realistically. I'd like to get this done too ASAP, so I'd be grateful for any participation :).
FWIW, the importance of this issue for internal Mozilla users is also growing as we do more elaborate end-to-end testing of sync across multiple platforms and devices. Vijay, did this make the cut for our Q3 iOS/FxA backlog in the end?

This did make our Q3 backlog and will be work as part of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1237407.

If interested, there was some exploratory work done in https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/pull/2609 that exposes a hidden setting to change your FxA and Sync servers. For Q3, I plan on updating and cleaning up that PR to resolve hopefully fix this issue.

Closing. Vijay is very close to implementing in the duplicated bug!

This should not be closed for there is no UI menu option for customization of such FxA server in Firefox iOS 19.0.
