Details

(Whiteboard: [dupme])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Build ID: 20151001180057 Steps to reproduce: I'm using Thunderbird 38.3.0 in Linux with a monitor with 1366x768 resolution. I changed the layout to vertical view (Preferences > Layout > Vertical View). Actual results: When I click on a message in the thread pane, I can read the message in the message pane but the buttons in the message toolbar are not visible. It seems that the toolbar width is wider than the message pane width. Expected results: All the buttons should be visible, for instance, by increasing the number of rows in the toolbar (defining a maximum number of rows and a possible scrollbar may be advisable). The same happens in classical view and in wide view if I add a large number of buttons to the toolbar or if I reduce the window size.

Walt, can you reproduce this?

(I suspect the reporter is gone)

Does "buttons in the message toolbar" mean message header?

Some buttons get hidden depending on the size of the Folder, Thread and Message panes in Vertical view. It also depends on the header customization. Icons only is best.

My monitor has a screen resolution of 1440x990.
