User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0
Build ID: 20151015172900
Steps to reproduce:
If you go into a playlist on YouTube and let the auto play feature do its magic eventually the video gets stuck and then even refreshing the page uses at least 100% CPU on 1 core/thread. Only thing that fixes it is restarting the browser.
I am on ubuntu 14.04.3 with everything up to date.
Actual results:
I was listening to a YouTube playlist and on about the 3rd video and there after it keeps giving me issues. I have to restart in order to get control of my CPU again.
Expected results:
It should just keep playing without getting stuck and running away with my processor.

Have you tried if you see this issue in a new profile, too? You can find details on how to create a new profile (without changing anything in your regular profile!) at https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles .
Have you tried if you see this issue in Firefox's safe mode, too? You can restart Firefox into safe mode by using the 'Restart Firefox with add-ons disabled' entry in the 'Help' menu. This will also disable graphics hardware acceleration and some JS engine optimizations, not just extensions and plugins. See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .

Try 43. It should work a lot better with WebM support for MSE.
