Steps to reproduce:

I created a new e-mail.
I typed, quickly, an e-mail nickname into the address field.


Actual results:

The address was not resolved into the actual e-mail address or the e-mail display name.


Expected results:

It should be resolved - as it is if one types more slowly! Dear me!

This bug affects me on Windows 8.1 x64 with Thunderbird 38.3.0 (and one set of AddOns) but not on Linux Mint 17.2 x64 Cinnamon with the same version of Thunderbird (but a somewhat different set of AddOns).
