Build Date & Platform Bug Found:
Linux seamonkey build 1999-08-16-08-m9 installed on Compaq P200 Linux 6.0
Overview Description:
On Linux, viewing a message with an attached gif/html file, the attachment does
not display inline. It is displayed the attachment as a link. The attachment
does display the content-disposition info which says "inline, filename="...".
Steps to Reproduce:
0) I sent my user pref to use a html compose window.
1) Start Apprunner
2) Open Messenger
3) Start a new message
4) Choose a File->Attach menu
5) Select attach a file or a web page
6) Attach your attachment
7 [details]) Address the message to yourself
8) Add subject title
9) Add a short message body
10) Send message
11) Get messages
The message is received. The message is displayed as an attachment link
instead inline.
Actual Results:
The gif/web attachment is not displayed inline. Messages sent from win32 or
Mac that have a gif/html attachment are also not displayed inline.
Expected Results:
The gif and web page should be displayed inline.
Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On:
This problem does not occur on M9 builds of Win32 or MacOS
Win32 seamonkey build 1999-08-16-09-m9 installed on Gateway P166 Win98
MacOS seamonkey build 1999-08-16-08-m9 installed on PPC 9600/300 MacOS 8.5.1
Additional Information:
Attachment sent from the Linux platform and view on Mac and Win32 are displayed
inline. This tells me that the attachment was sent properly.
Summary: [PP] Linux: Gif/HTML files do not display inline → [PP] Linux: Gif/HTML files do not display inline
I don't think this belongs to Seth. rhp is on sabbatical - not sure who is
