User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20151029151421 Steps to reproduce: I have created several automatical message filter whith several conditions that moves new messages when calling to a different folder. Actual results: New messages are moved to different folders like the filter rules. But an important message could be overlooked, becouse it is not in the inbox, but in a different folder, and there is no notification. Expected results: It would be nice to add a notification action as another filter action. So that a notification like 'E-mail <subject> from <e-mail adress> is moved to <folder>.' will be showed by executing a filter, if this option is enabled by the user. It would be best if there is also a reminder funcion: So you can choose between 'OK', 'show e-mail' and 'remember me in <1 hour /1 day etc.>' in the notification window. So the user would be reminded of an imported e-mail, if he wants to.

I think this applies even if no filters are set up in TB, and the messages are sorted by the IMAP server itself.

Case in point: Gmail. If there is a new (unread) message in the inbox, there also is a new (unread) message in the 'All Mail' IMAP folder, and -- at least in Linux (not sure about Windows) -- the user gets two sound notifications instead of just one. Strangely enough, only one popup is show (presumably for the message detected in the Inbox?).

After bug 1836511 notifications show up when messages are moved by a filter.
