the app only opens with a white screen and a x on the top left on an alcatel onetouch fire e device with Firefox OS 2.0.0.0 (the same thing happens when using the browser app to navigate to the marketplace url).
We've seen this "white screen" before. You should check to ensure that your time is set correctly. If it is, check for updates to Marketplace (or just re-install it). Let us know if it's still an issue after you've tried those two things (and please close this bug if either fixes the issue).

unfortunately i don't have the device with me at the moment and can just check again in 2 weeks time.

sorry for the noise. i got back to device and everything is working now. i don't know what was wrong before...
