With "Find in this page", when you have pressed the "Find" button, it should either be disabled or the cursor should turn to an hourglass, so that you can tell that the start has really commenced, and is running.
Or maybe have the FIND button remaining in a pushed-down state as long as the search is running. This method I have seen used in other applications.
Why is this unconfirmed? Confirming.
