This started one or two weeks ago: shb covers bottom of content

this is very visible on Facebook chat and really painful

This bug cannot repro on latest Aries kk v2.5 build by the STR in comment 0.

Steps: 
1. Sign in a Fackbook account.
2. Choose one news, and slide to the buttom.

Actual results: Software home button won't cover content on Facebook chat.

Maybe, but I reproduced in a different context so  I cannot tell for sure
