It would be nice to have the highlight capability that the google toolbar has. This seems pretty easy impliment. It is just that when you pull up the find dialog, a 'highlight' option would be available. This would put a emphasis on all the matches to the term in the page that you are searching, hence making it easier to find.

Confirming: this feature has already been requested in bug 7930 but I found no explicit bug for it.

Summary: CRTL-F Find, add highlight capability. → Find in page: highlight all the occurrences
With the new find api (set "browser.new_find" to true, or wait for bug 80805 for it to become the default) this will be quite easy to write in JS. But someone has to come up with a UI design for it (I think I'd get stoned if I unilaterally chose to put another button in some random location in the global Find dialog). If someone wants to take charge of the UI design, I will be happy to write the necessary JS to implement the function, or to guide someone else in how to do that.
