We are trying to organize our community based on teams(WoMoz, MDN, MLN...) and some of these teams want a dedicated subcategory into Discourse and AFAIK, the only way to do this is creating a 'Mozilla Brazil' category into Discourse's root. I know that we aren't an active community on Discourse, but we want to try again to migrate from our mailing list. I think that all questions about Discourse already are answered and we're done to migrate do Discourse. If our category doesn't become active in some weeks we can move as subcategory again. WoMoz Brazil team already has requested a subcategory into 'WoMoz' category, but I think that the best solution is creating as subcategory into our category to centralize all teams in one place and prevent portuguese content in english categories.
I think that we need to solve this bug before create the WoMoz Brazil subcategory :)

That all makes sense. You guys consolidate things and let us know how to proceed.
Samuel, let's start creating the structure? **"Mozilla Brazil"** => Category "WoMoz Brazil" => Subcategory "SUMO" => Subcategory "Social Midia" => Subcategory "Events" => Subcategory I think it's a good start, have suggestions categories?

Hi folks, Maybe this: Brazil => category Dev => (Add-ons for Firefox, Gecko, Rust, etc) - subcategory SUMO => (Support Mozilla and Social Support) subcategory WoMoz => (and Diversity) subcategory For events, marketing, L10n and others, we can create specific topics in Brazil category.
+1 for Womoz, SUMO, Social Media and Dev subcategories. For events I think that we can talk in the root category. @tanner, can you help us on this?

hey people, do we have a final structure decided?
Flags: needinfo?(samuel)
IMHO, the following subcategories we can create now: Womoz, SUMO, and Social Media. After we get our own category, I'll talk with others teams to create their own subcategory :)
Flags: needinfo?(samuel)
so that we're on the same page: Category : Brazil and Womoz, SUMO, and Social Media as subcategories for now, right? If you could, please give the description and preferred color code of the above 4 categories

Looks like Michael has this taken care of, ni me if I'm mistaken.

Hey Michael! Sorry, I have not recognized your new email address, I was thinking that you were another Michael =P So, for the category: Name: Mozilla Brasil Description: Mozilla Brazil is a community made by Brazilians that want to contribute to Mozilla manifesto. Also, can you add me as category moderator(samuel@samuelmoraes.com)? I have sure that I will don't need to remove posts or do something like, but would be awesome to move and fix posts. It's possible to move all posts from our current subcategory(inside communities category) to our new category?

Hi Sam, This is done. Main category is here : https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/mozilla-brasil I noticed you had a better category description at https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/bem-vindo-a-comunidade-mozilla-brasil/1513. I don't get what it says but would it for for the new category? I've moved the topics to the new category. About moderation rights, I'll need approval from the team on that. Tanner, please advise.

Can you move the subcategory description(https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/bem-vindo-a-comunidade-mozilla-brasil/1513) to our new category and fix it? :) BTW, is there a mail address to publish new posts into our new subcategories?
Flags: needinfo?(michael)
I've updated the description. We don't have these addresses yet. Will update once we have them.

Hi Sam, do you have a signed NDA with Mozilla? I can't find you in the group. This is a blocker for the moderator rights for now. please update.
Flags: needinfo?(tanner.sumo.bugs)
No, I have not signed NDA, how I can proceed with this?
Kensie, Yousef, please advise?
Flags: needinfo?(yousef)
Flags: needinfo?(majken)
I'm not sure if more moderators will be beneficial considering we can bump you up to trust level 4, which will automatically hide the posts that you flag.
Flags: needinfo?(yousef)
The only things that I want to do is fix posts and move between our subcategories :)
Sorry for delay in replying. Moderators need an NDA at the moment because they have access to some profile information. Otherwise I'd have no issue allowing you to be a moderator to handle your own topics. Michael - did we sort out the email for the categories? Perhaps you need me or Tom to help with that?

Hi Kensie, sorry for the delay in writing back. Email is okay.
