Does bug 1254856 solve this too?
(In reply to Josh Matthews [:jdm] from comment #4)
> Does bug 1254856 solve this too?
Yes, the bug is not present in Firefox 45.0.1. So yes, I'd say https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1254856 fixes this bug. Question is why? The incident seems to say this is separate; correct?

They're both symptoms of an issue with websockets and disabling third party cookies.

I spoke too soon. I still see it on the following:
Built from https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-release/rev/e0e51efe7b1521f1b69499490c877e11aa170917
for Firefox 45.0.1 64-bit for Windows.
I still see the bug, but I'm pretty sure it seems to work on gnu/linux Debian.
Okay I was completely wrong. It still exists on gnu/linux Debian Firefox 45.0.1. Please reopen.

I'm not sure if this is the same bug, but I'm having issues with third-party cookies preventing the display of edited formulas in Google Sheets since upgrading to Firefox 45.

- Mac OSX 10.11.4
- Others have reported Linux
[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Set "Accept third-party cookies: Never" in about:preferences#privacy.
2. While logged into Google Drive, create "New > Google Sheets"
3. In cell A1, enter "=1+1"
[Expected result]:
- The cell displays "2"
[Actual result]:
- The cell is blank and the "Calculating formulas..." progress bar remains in motion.
[Regression range]:
- This is not reproducible on FF 44.0.2.
[Additional notes]:
- With "Accept third-party cookies: Always" or "Accept third-party cookies: From visited" set in about:preferences#privacy, the issue isn't reproduced.
- With manually refreshing the page after editing the formula in a cell , the issue isn't reproduced.

Jason - this looks like something we might need to look into. Can you find someone?

Tracked in 1257861 but we should make sure to verify the fix here once it lands in beta.
