I'm in a strange state where I can't change the permissions of Firefox in the "App permissions" screen of Android. Every change I do is reverted back as soon as I leave the screen. Changing permissions for Firefox Beta works and also changes the permissions of Firefox. I assume this is happening because we are using "sharedUserId" in our manifest: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-element.html It would be okay to share permissions between apps with sharedUserId as long as we could toggle them for both apps. Currently the release version does not support runtime permissions and does not target SDK version 23. My hope is that this strange behavior will be gone after this changes with the next release. Maybe this is just a side effect of having two apps with sharedUserId but only one of them is supporting runtime permissions.
