STR: 1. Run Aurora 47. 2. Uncheck "Play DRM content" setting in about:preferences#content 3. Watch about:addons for Widevine to download. RESULT: Nothing happens. about:addons is stuck saying Widevine "will be installed shortly." Nightly 48, using the same profile, downloads Widevine successfully. I don't see any obvious error messages in the browser console. Forcing "Check for Updates" in about:addons just says "No updates found."
I can repro this on OS X and Windows. This problem only affects Widevine. Adobe CDM downloads successfully in Aurora 47 on Windows.

Kirk, if you have a chance today, can you please check whether this is a bug in Aurora's updater or a problem with the update server? This doesn't seem like a server issue because it only affects Aurora 47.

The update server is not configured to serve Widevine to 47.
