The doorhanger notification for Social API should be updated to match the functional design of other permission notifications and doorhanger notifications, which is linked in the URL field. This notification may still be anchored outside of the "i" icon. Whether this notification will use the same model with two main buttons and a persistence checkbox has to be determined individually.

For this notification, we need to create a new SVG icon in glyph format, not done in bug 1274480.

Some Social API code has been removed from the tree and the doorhangers that remain in use from the Share button have a separate design and aren't affected by the recent permission prompt changes. They are also anchored in the Share button, not in the former 'carrot'.
