We should ensure that the doorhanger notifications used by Hello and Social API windows are consistent with the functional design of other permission notifications and doorhanger notifications, which is linked in the URL field.

Since we're modifying the existing PopupNotifications.jsm, this bug is now just about making sure that functionality provided by notifications in the Hello and Social API windows doesn't break.

Not sure if we need a separate bug for this. One thing that came up recently is that if we remove the device selection from the Camera and Microphone notification, the Hello window should re-implement its own device selection functionality. Is there a bug for that already?

Hello has its special way to handle permissions (with some exceptions in the C++ code of MediaManager) and gets permissions granted automatically without showing the permission prompts. It already handles device selection in its UI. The notifications that are shown in the Hello window related to webrtc are the sharing indicators... which we are planning to remove and merge into the control center panel for the case of normal web pages. So I'm not sure if there's anything we need to do here to preserve these notifications for Hello only.
