possibly we have a small win on aurora, and a few small regressions overthe last 2 months on trunk.

I'm not sure I'll be of much use here. So many things are happening on this path with the progressive consolidation of e10s (and probably other things) that I have no clue what's going on. I'm not overly optimistic that anybody has a better idea, but maybe mconley does?

both firefox 48 and firefox 49 have a history of slope creep, on pretty much all platforms.  For Firefox 50 (current trunk) things look a lot better as there is stabilization (and some small improvements).
