Details

(Whiteboard: [addon:ConfirmBeforeDelete])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0
Build ID: 20160407164938

Steps to reproduce:

Allowed TBird to upgrade to 45.0.

Clicked the "Message" menu, then "Move to <folder> again"

Actual results:

Nothing. Message did not move.

Expected results:

Message should have moved to the specified folder.

I can drag a message to a new folder, but not move it via the menu item or the shortcut key for that menu item.

What happens with TB running in safe mode? (Help -> Restart With Add-ons Disabled)

( use move again several times an hour, in multiple versions, and haven't see a problem in years)

Wayne,

Yes. That fixed it. Thanks!

Then I went back to regular mode and it fails again. Then I disabled the
"ConfirmBeforeDelete" add-on by Paolo Kaosmos and it works again. That's
a sufficient solution for me because I no longer need that add-on. It was
useful when I found a problem years ago -- if I was typing a name in the
address book window to cause it to scroll to that name, and I made a typo,
when I hit the Delete key to backspace to fix the typo, it would delete
the contact I was currently scrolled to. However, newer versions of
TBird now prompt me for confirmation before deleting in that scenario.

BTW, when the bug DOES occur, it is not only for "Message -> Move again",
but also for "Message --> Move To", and for the "File" toolbar button,
and the Cmd-Opt-M shortcut key for Move again.

I'm email Paolo also, to refer him to this bug report.

Thanks!
