RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1268395

People

(Reporter: rasker, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0
Build ID: 20160429154717

Steps to reproduce:

[Firefox on Linux Mint 17.2 KDE, 64-bit laptop]

File -> Open File, then try selecting a file
or any other action requiring file selection (e.g. for uploading)

Actual results:

Open File dialog behaves as if left mouse button is continuously pressed:
- Clicking a file once and moving the mouse results in dragging action
- Clicking the file again and moving the mouse adds previous/next files to selection
- Pressing Esc resolves this 'stuck left mouse button' behavior

This happens exclusively in Firefox Open File dialog, not in any other applications.
Already attempted to resolve this in the following ways:
- Using another mouse
- Disabling the laptop touchpad
- Deleting user configuration (.mozilla folder)
- Purging & reinstalling Firefox
But this didn't help.

Expected results:

Clicking a file in Open File dialog should simply select one file

Is the GTK3 theme oxygen-gtk?
If so, this is the same issue as bug 1270421.
Hello Karl,

Yes, the GTK3 theme is indeed oxygen-gtk, and when I select a different GTK3 theme, the problem goes away -- so it is definitely the same bug.
Thanks. Let's track this there.
