Due to frequent and persistent crashing on Mac OS (bug 1097138), we need to block this extension. ID: firefoxdav@icloud.com I'm contacting the developer first to see if there's anything else that can be done in the short term to address this problem.
Er, the crashes are happening on Windows, actually, since that's the target platform for the extension.
Looks like there haven't been any changes. Let's move forward with this block.

This bug is marked fixed/resolved but the block on this plugin is still in effect, does the fixed/resolved status indicate that the underlying plugin is fixed or just that the block was completed? The plug in page still shows that this plugin was blocked and cannot be downloaded. If the block will remain, is it possible to obtain a copy of the blocked plugin in order to assist in troubleshooting? We have seen this issue with this plugin several times, usually related to startup order of the Apple iCloud application/TFA and the opening of Firefox. I wonder if that is the issue but without the actual plugin to test, we cannot assist further. Also, the installation of iCloud for Windows fails if the user selects Firefox since this plug (a dependency for this selection) is selected (the installer takes the user to the pulgin page which was removed but the installer requires that to complete or to cancel the setup).
Yes, fixed means the block was deployed. It's still in effect, and will remain in effect until there's a version of the add-on that doesn't cause so many crashes. I'm attaching the latest version for testing.

Thanks - I have also reached out to Apple and it appears they are aware of this bug and are working with Mozilla on it, but there is no publicly available information from Apple at this time.
Firefox is preventing access to my OS bookmarks, What's the issue ?
(In reply to 63taff from comment #7) > Firefox is preventing access to my OS bookmarks, What's the issue ? Read the above comments. This plugin apparently causes crashes.
Comment on attachment 8757442 [details] icloud_bookmarks-1.4.22-fx-windows.xpi You should warn users of the pottential crashes, but not block this extension. I for one do not experience crashes with it, and the block is hampering my ability to use it
You can enable the add-on in the Add-ons Manager if you want.
Yes you can, but if you have not downloaded the plug in. There is no obvious option to do so. I finally found the download link buried in a very difficult place to find and as a result on one of my systems I spent 3 month missing the plugin.
i still can't download it

On this page https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1271358 Go to the bottom (before the comments) and download the attachment. It is not obvious that that is how you download the plug in, but that is it.
