User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0
Build ID: 20160502172042
Steps to reproduce:
1. create new profile for firefox to exclude config/addon issues
2. start firefox with new profile
3. open new tab
4. visit: https://www.mozilla.org/de/teach/smarton/
5. open from same tab: www.snort.org
the snort website is not the only website causing the issue, but one where it happens almost every time. other situations cause the issue too, like e.g. the editing mask of wordpress
Actual results:
In almost all cases the website is not rendered correctly, parts of the viewport or the whole viewpart are going black, or are flickering.
sometimes, the menu bar goes black, too.
screenshot attached, here is a video created with bandicam while reprocuding the issue

Expected results:
rendered website, no black screen or flickering

It's looks like similar to bug 1274817, same AMD GPUs.

I can reliably get a black screen by going to http://www.gasbuddy.com/GasPriceMap?z=4 and using my mouse wheel to enlarge the map. After doing so I get messages in the Graphics Failure Log. I've gotten the black screen for the past few versions of the AMD drivers. Currently I'm on the latest one which is 16.6.1.

Where does bug 1275798 fit in with this bug? Is it the same problem?
