I just recovered the trackingprotection.info domain and I'd like to:
- have Mozilla host the DNS for it
- redirect all traffic to https://disconnect.me/trackerprotection
Eventually, I will also want to transfer the domain to Mozilla, but maybe I need to hold it for 60 days first?

Hey Francois, can this wait a week? Webops is using a sprint model to try and stay on top of work, we should be able to get to this next week if that's okay?

do you want me to setup the DNS/redirect or would you prefer to transfer to us first?
Either is fine by me.

Let's setup the redirect and DNS first so that we get it up quickly.
Then we can figure out how long I have to hold onto that domain before transferring it to Mozilla.

Sure.
If you point your DNS servers to:
Nameserver 1 ns1-240.akam.net.
Nameserver 2 ns4-64.akam.net.
Nameserver 3 ns5-65.akam.net.
Nameserver 4 ns7-66.akam.net.
Everything else should be in place.

I've updated the DNS and the redirect seems to work fine. Thanks!
I've emailed your the transfer auth code if you want to try transferring the domain to Mozilla now.

ok great.
I got the mail and have initiated the transfer.
It's mostly automated from here on out and usually takes 2 - 3 days. I'm going to close the bug, but feel free to re-open if you need to.
The order number for order: 'trackingprotection.info ' is: 6556351

It appears the domain is locked at the current registrar, please unlock the domain. Once unlocked let me know and I can submit the transfer.

I've just locked (the domain was already unlocked) and re-unlocked the domain.
This is what I saw after it got locked:
$ whois trackingprotection.info | grep Status
Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited https://icann.org/epp#clientTransferProhibited
Domain Status: serverTransferProhibited https://icann.org/epp#serverTransferProhibited
and this is what I'm seeing now that it's unlocked:
$ whois trackingprotection.info | grep Status
Domain Status: serverTransferProhibited https://icann.org/epp#serverTransferProhibited
Is that normal? Do I need to email my registrar's support? What message are you seeing on your end when you try to transfer the domain?

After some discussion it appears the domain is locked for 60 days.
All parties have set reminders and we'll continue this in another bug nearer the time of transfer.
