User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0 Build ID: 20160630070928 Steps to reproduce: 1. In the search/address bar, type 'BufferedWriter.write' 2. Click on 'Search <engine> for BufferedWriter.write' Actual results: Firefox attempts to load 'BufferedWriter.write' as a website (URL Bar shows 'http://www.bufferedwriter.write/') Expected results: Firefox should use the search engine, as selected.

I don't see "search Google for" when I type BufferedWriter.write Does the issue happen with safe mode, and clean profile? Also, if you're using distro package, can you also test with Mozilla's official build?
