Steps to reproduce:

I've tried to find anything which shows me the sender without opening the mail-message. That would make it easier to figure out if it is SPAM-mail or regular mail.


Actual results:

showing the source-text of the e-mail via strg+u is to difficult to read for unskilled users.


Expected results:

I think it would be fine to show the sender-address on mouseover in the inbox-list without opening the mail itself.

Please work on it because its a safety-feature !Its for protecting Thunderbird users from opening SPAM with unwanted and/or harmful attachements.
Iam running a computerservice and Iam telling any of my customers to whatch and verify the sender-address before opening an email.
Several other email clients have this feature implemented already.

We can't actually show a tooltip for the email address due to how XUL trees are implemented. However, there's already a bug on file for showing the email address in the thread pane *somehow. Marking dupe.
