Browser crashes after I view png images individually
(http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/PngSuite/f04n2c08.png), not in other pages
(http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngsuite-all-good.html). Images view fine -
quicktime plugin loads and image displays correctly.
Crashes occur upon leaving the image - through back button, URL entry, or links.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. View png image in browser (ex
http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/PngSuite/f03n0g08.png )
2. Leave png image for another URL through any method.
Actual Results: Browser closes without error. Entire browser quits - quick
launch closes along with all browser windows.
Expected Results: Left the page without error.
Using Quicktime plugin 4.1.2. Crash has occurred numerous times in multiple builds.

If you are crashing in Mozilla the best thing you can do to help the developers
fix your bug is to attach a stacktrace. If you're not building yourself you are
not out of luck. Mozilla releases nightly and milestone builds with Full
Circle's Talkback (you can get latest build on:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/) Talkback should catch most
crashes and offer to send in a crash report. Developers can retrieve that crash
report and attach it to your bug report if you provide either the Incident ID
(you can get it by running the talkback program from /components/talkback/).
Thanks for your help in testing Mozilla and reporting bugs.

Full Circle's talkback is enabled - browser crashes after viewing without any
errors whatsoever. Will download and test with nightly build (Full Circle Enabled).

Michael, is the browser doing the rendering of the png or is the quicktime
plug-in being used? I'm able to view the png files just fine when the browser
does the rendering, but crashing when using quicktime (see bug 128922)

I tested the two URLs you listed and navigated in and out of them with no
problem. I am using the win32 build from 20020311, I'll update to today's trunk
and try again

I updated to today's build on win32 and I am not able to repro the bug. I tried
this on Mac OSX and it works fine there too.

isn't this dup of bug 128922?

Corrupted install of quicktime. Second deinstall/reinstall solved problem.
Note - this is not a duplicate of bug 128922. In that bug the browser provided
me with the talkback screen upon crashing *before* viewing. This non-bug
crashed after viewing and did not provide the talkback screen.

I don't think we are adviced to close bugs. Let it be at least verified first.
