Details

Cannot reliably reproduce this. Sidebar became blank (dark grey colour, no features under the titlebar which says 'Sidebar Tabs X'). Had 15 tabs open, had selected 'view source' of a page though have tried this again and doesn't seem to be sufficient cause. Worked-around by selecting 'Tabs' dropdown - Search,Bookmarks,History were ticked. Unticked each one, then re-ticked, and on re-ticking the re-ticked tab re-appeared. Pretty sure this happened once under linux as well, Mozilla 0.9.8 binary distro running under SuSE 7.1 with kernel 2.4.17
I experienced the same thing, but also can't reliably reproduce. I only have 3 tabs displayed: Bookmarks (600KB+), History, and Search. Bookmarks is almost always open. I tried to reproduce it before, and this procedure worked at least a couple times (but failed far more): 1) Click on the right edge of the sidebar to hide it 2) Close Moz 3) Close Quicklaunch 4) Load Moz 5) Load webpage (cnn.com) 6) Click on right edge of hidden side bar to display it Result (a couple times): Sidebar blank grey, no tabs, as described by reporter. Same as bug 127113 but proves what I suspected: SidebarRebuild() isn't the culprit but the function it calls (refresh() on sbPanleList) probably is. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 127113 ***
