When I reply to a mail message, the blinking caret appears slightly below the quoted material. I use the arrow keys to reposition the caret to the logical upper-left, and text is in fact inserted above the quoted material, but it's hard to tell that from the UI

not sure if this is a selection problem or a caret painting problem.  I suspect

This might already be fixed from work Mike did last week.  Phil, could you
please retest?
In today's build, the caret can be positioned at the upper left, but as soon as
I start typing, the caret disappears.

This issue should have been fixed, between various editor and layout checkins
recently.
