Where can Mozilla paraphernalia/stuff/gear/shirts/pins and other promotional/marketing merchandise be found?I would like to wear my heart of my sleeve when 1.0 comes out!
No kidding - Mozilla has the COOLEST logo on the 'net and no T-Shirts?? I suggest three designs (all should be available on a black 2XL t-shirt :-)): - The star with the mozilla head (like in about:mozilla) - The website banner - this one, but WITHOUT the "Free the lizard" text: http://mozilla.org/party/1998/mozilla.gif
Only suggestion is that the shirts should be available in sizes up to 4x and 4xL. Maybe you could get Ping to donate some seconds.
If the entity who holds the trademark and copyright of the Mozilla.org artwork (whom I suspect is Netscape Communications Corporation) would consent, then you could send the art as is to http://cafepress.com/ and get Mozilla t-shirts instantly. Mugs, too, which I might be interested in.
Mitchell, any idea what the feeling on this is at Netscape?
Adding bug 28028 to the dependency tree.
Depends on: 28028
see http://www.mozilla.org/banners/ esp. http://www.mozilla.org/banners/shirt2.gif and http://www.mozilla.org/banners/shirt3.gif Those were already printed once on mozilla.org T-Shirts - of course you can take the pics and print one yourself ;-)
> of course you can take the pics and print one yourself ;-) I'd consider it - but just how do you go about print your own t-shirt?
The 1.0 FAQ ( http://mozilla.org/start/1.0/faq/general.html#1.8 ) suggests: There is also a page of Mozilla promotional banners for your website. You can also make your own T-shirt from shirt2.gif or shirt3.gif with an inkjet printer and T-shirt transfer paper (it’s an open source project, after all), or buy a MozillaZine shirt. (shirt2.gif and shirt3.gif being on the banners page.) I've seen T-shirt transfer paper for inkjet printers in large stationery stores for the last few years. Is that enough to close this bug? mozilla.org isn't in the T-shirt business, after all. Now, as for sourcing red fluffy dinosaurs to turn into Mozilla, I'm after pointers on this one after failing to secure one in time for the 1.0 London party ...
this would be closed once there is some light on bug 153647 ... which might be a dup of this? Anyway, I've created a store at www.cafepress.com/mozillaStuff/ .. and am seeking permission to use those banners in that bug.
