User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0 Build ID: 20161129173726 Steps to reproduce: IF the HTML signature have a link to an image, email are sent with attachments. You can see email with attachments from yahoo web or Apple device. You need add this: moz-do-not-send="true" to every link. This code should not be added manually from the user but if the signature is in HTML and the image are linked to a URL Thunderbird should send email by adding the code moz-do-not-send="true" to every link or should not send image as attachments! Actual results: HTML signature, if there are images in the HTML signature (not local image but from URL) Images is attached to the email. The attachments is visible in Yahoo web also Apple mobile. For solve this issue I have to add to every image URL in the HTML signature this: moz-do-not-send="true" Expected results: If the signature is in HTML and there are images that image should be not attached to the email as attachments.
From my Italian support request http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/index.php?topic=67922.0 This issue should be solved in Thunderbird.
At TB 45.x the default for images referenced from websites is to include those images in the e-mail so the recipient receives a "complete" e-mail and not an e-mail with "remote" content which may be blocked. This will change at TB 52 in March 2017. If you don't like this behaviour, set moz-do-not-send="true". It is always a good idea to set this attribute and not rely on (changing) system defaults. There is no problem doing this once when the signature is prepared.

Hi, very bad your wont fix. I discover in a years I was thanked to have an HTML signature and all people see my emails with attachments when there are no attachments set by me. Now yes I have added that code but I think is a very stupid thing. If I want signature with attachments just use normal signature, I use HTML signature for not have my signature image attached. So in March 2017 if this will be changed in better will be a intelligent think because FOR ME this is a very stupid things. Is better have signature not showed, blocked than have attachments when I don't want show attachemtns to users. Thanks anyway
