Steps to reproduce:
I made a software update. After re-booting and starting TB without add-ons:
Enter an valid or invalid password, hit enter button to receive emails.
Evironment:
Linux openSuse 42.1 LEAP
Thunderbird 45.5.1
Actual results:
Sometimes, not always an error occurs: "Sending of password for user "XXXXXX" did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.XXXXXX.com responded: Failed after 0 retry"
A retry is never possible because it appears no password mask.
Expected results:
If the password was invalid a retry should be possible.
If the password was valid password validation should be possible without problems.
