Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20161219004024 Steps to reproduce: I searched for the word "Aras" using the Ctrl-K search box. Actual results: Exactly one email showed up, but it contained the word "Ära". Expected results: There was a whole email thread, which I started with an email whose text contained "Aras", and all replies cited that email. I expected all those emails to show up in the search results. I didn't expect the "Ära" email to be there.

Just checked on a second machine which has pretty much the same setup. there, thunderbird does find both the mail with "Ära", as well as the missing thread. (it displays the first message and when clicking on it, i see the whole thread. so works as expected i guess.) i'll be happy to help if i'm told how to find the relevant differences between the two setups.
