Implement the bookmarks API for Android. This is the ability to interact with bookmarks. The API is: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/bookmarks This has been implemented for Desktop, so we'll need to implement the Android equivalent. For history, the main bookmark bug for Desktop was bug 1213674.

Currently I have started working on a bookmark sync plugin, which sync's with the Roundcube Webmailer. Basically, it works so far. But since the basic idea was it to sync also with Firefox on Android, I have stopped the work on this plugin yet. Personally, I have no Android coding skills, so I must wait, if this feature will be implemented by the Mozilla team. I hope, I see some progress here in the future.

From testing a few of the desktop bookmark sync applications, this seems to be a common issue with bookmark extensions when working with android. Bug is now 2 years old... :(
