I checked and I can reproduce it with FF release 51. I have the impression that on release is working even wors. On FF51 release if you click multiple times on "email or phone" field the drop down stops to work. Please see the attachment, this is a recorded video with FF 51 release.

Hi Ovidiu,

I can't reproduce this bug on 56.0a1 (2017-07-18) (64-bit) OS X. Can you confirm that it's fixed for you too?

Hi Matthew,

You are right, I tested on Mac OS X 10.10 with FF Nightly 56.0a1(2017-07-19) (64-bit) and I can't reproduce this, I also tested on Windows 10 x64 and Ubuntu 16.04 and I have the same results, the issue is not reproducible. I will mark this as Resolved WFM.

While I was investigating this issue I did some exploratory and I discovered a new scenario where the bug is reproducible, please see the steps below:

Prerequisites: On Facebook, you need to have 1 entry (Email or Phone)

1. Open a random tab (www.mozilla.com)
2. Open FF and go to Facebook (if you click on Email or Phone section you have a drop down)
3. Detach the Facebook tab in order to obtain a new window. (if you click on Email or Phone section you have a drop down)
4. Put the Facebook tab back in the initial FF window.

AR:

if you click on Email or Phone section the drop down doesn't appear.

ER:

if you click on Email or Phone section you should have a drop down.

NOTE:
Tested with Nightly 56.0a1(2017-07-19) on Mac OS X 10.10 and Windows 10. On Ubuntu 16.04 this issue is not reproducible.

Please tell me your opinion about this and let me know if I need to log a new bug. Thanks

I'm hoping to fix that for password manager and autofill in bug 1378754 since they have the same root cause. If we end up only fixing autofill there then we should have a separate bug.
