User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0
Build ID: 20170125094131
Steps to reproduce:
Product: Firefox
OS: Windows 7
Component: ??? [perhaps the Downloads Panel or Downloads API?]
Version: 51.0.1 (32-bit)
Build ID: 20170125094131
#####
What did I do? (steps to reproduce):
1) Enable hardware acceleration.
2) Start a file download, e.g. http://releases.ubuntu.com/16.04.1/ubuntu-16.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso.
3) Observe the download panel.
#####
note:
I've used user loop's suggestions instead of my essay-like report :)
Actual results:
For all downloads when HWA is enabled, the time and size estimates are missing. This behavior is observed even with all add-ons disabled.
Expected results:
Download time and size estimates should be present regardless of HWA.
Could you attach a screenshot of the issue and copy the "graphics" section from about:support.
Did it use to work normally with FF50 or 49?

I'm afraid I don't know for sure ... all I can say for sure is that I didn't notice any problem there before and my family hasn't reported anything either (I am currently sharing a computer with my family members)
Hmm, I think there was a bug open about a similar issue when FF51 was on Nightly channel, download time was missing too.
Ok, after a little search, I found it: it was bug 1318612 which is a duplicate of bug 1306670 which is fixed in 51+... So the issue should be fixed.
Bas, any idea why this issue is still visible in FF51?
@mario: could you copy the "graphics" section from about:support, please.

I'm sorry ... I guess the following text is in German because the family members I'm sharing a computer with only know German so far. I'm sure you'll still understand it though :)

Not really, I don't see it. do you?

No. But I think the drivers are outdated and that's the source of the issue.
mario, could you update the driver of the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25977/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-33-?product=81499 (Version: 15.33.43.4425, Date: 5/13/2016)

With the help of "roam" (see firefox IRC channel) i manually installed the driver you linked to, Loic.
http://superuser.com/questions/637817/how-can-i-forcibly-install-an-older-driver-on-windows-7
We used this method there because there was no other way.
There's one thing though now that doesn't make sense to me, Loic.
date: 04.04.2016
version: 10.18.10.4425
is what i see after having installed the driver you told me about.
Apart from that I have to tell you that unfortunately the problem hasn't been solved yet.

Dear Sirs and Madames!
I don't know why but after installing the latest updates for MS Windows today I noticed that the issue seems to have gotten solved. I don't know why this happened, I'm afraid. All is fine now. I wish I could tell you some more. I'll keep in touch if you've got any further questions, comments, etc :)
