From bug 1337131 - our only heuristic for restarting the GPU process is a hard limit. Should we think about crash frequency (i.e. X restarts in N seconds), or semi-permanent disabling like the startup crash guard? If so, what values of X/N?

We will also want to determine the "you shouldn't try acceleration until the next update, it's too unstable", and probably have the UI in about support to reset that.
