Crash Data

I have easily reproduce this crash (WinNT build 2002032610) and there are also a
few other incidents with recent MozillaTrunk builds being reported by Talkback.

Here are my steps to reproduce:
1. Copy a URL from the url bar (or anywhere)
2. File->Open Web Location
3. Paste the URL in that dialog
4. Select Open In: New Navigator window
5. Click Open button

I have been able to crash multiple times with those steps from a browser window.
I was able to crash from within a Composer window with those steps as well.

Here is one of my incidents:

There isn't much of a stack...but people have been crashing doing the same thing
as I did. This crash is also being reported under the KERNEL32.DLL stack
signature. Here are a few comments from those crashes:

All of those have the same stack as the incident above...which isn't very
helpful. But this crash is easily reproduced.
Adding keywords and nominating for nsbeta1. Please reassign if I chose the
wrong component.
NOTE: This crash seems to only occur when you paste in a url and select open in
new navigator window. I was not able to crash after typing in the url or
selecting open in current navigator window in new navigator tab.
Well, I take part of my last comment back...I tried to crash by typing in the
url a few more times and was able to crash. But only when opening the url in a
new navigator window.

Happens both when pasting and typing target URL,
Only happens when selecting "New Navigator Window" as destination.
Also happens in (pre 1.0) Modern Theme and Pinball Theme.

I have at least 4 Talkbacks from this.

Summary: Trunk crash opening web location in new window after pasting in url [@ ntdll.dll | KERNEL32.DLL] → Trunk crash opening web location in new window [@ ntdll.dll | KERNEL32.DLL]
Well, it works for me with build 20020406 under Win 98SE, however the Open Page
window keeps trying to disappear on me.

Is this a Win NT only bug? I know the OS is set to NT, but comment #7 refers to
a crash under Win 98.

In any case, try upgrading to 20020406 and see if you still get the crash.
is this another dup of danm's bug?
*Win98se + Mozilla 2002-04-07*
My experience is the same as David King's comment #10: works - but the
disappearing dialog is so bad the whole Open Web Location function is useless.
I see this crash with the mozilla opt 2002-04-04-11-trunk build but do not see
this crash with a current build (mozilla opt 2002-04-08-09-trunk). Marking
``worksforme'' since original steps no longer cause a crash.

Verified worksfome...I don't crash with today's build (but I did with 4/4
build). Has there been a new bug logged for the disappearing dialog box? I
see that bug with all kinds of dialogs in builds from the past few days...really
annoying.
