Using build 20020320, subscribing to (for example) comp.lang.c.moderated and
comp.lang.c++.moderated leads to them both being abbreviated to c.l.c.moderated,
which is confusing.

Either .moderated newsgroups could be abbreviated to, for example, c.l.c.m and
c.l.c++.m - i.e. abbreviating the "moderated" and not the word before it.

Or where 2 newsgroups are listed the same because of the abbreviation, the last
abbreviated word could be expanded, so these newsgroups would be listed as
c.l.c.moderated and c.l.c++.moderated.

Yeah, or bug 61794 or bug 61795. A quick search of 'abbre news' brought those
two up in Bugzilla.
