Steps how to reproduce with Installation of official en-US SeaMonkey 2.51a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0 Build 20170207004355 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit: for existing gmail account used via browser create account in email client: 1. in Email Client menu ˋEdit → Mail & NG account ... → Add Account → Email account → [Next] → Type Name and email address → [Next] → IMAP Port 993 → Server="imap.gmail.com" - SSL/TLS - [Next] → [Next] until last stepˊ Bug: CRASH :-( a) currently I can't tell whether this problem really is gmail related, might be a general account creation problem I wil do additional tests later b) Works fine with TB Daily 54.0a1 (2017-02-04) (64-bit) c) Crash ID: bp-1c1e98da-193d-4a18-9366-948072170226 bp-abb10d18-e5b9-4b5e-8cca-1654d2170226 d) Crash Reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ
I don't have a gmail account but works for me up to the point. Just updated my test package if you want to check it. Might it be Bug 857043 ?
I didn't find the time to test today, hope I can do it tomorrow. I never had such a crash until now, but I can't remember to have tried to create a gmail account for email client. unintended NEW

NOT reproducible with unzipped installer of UNofficial (by FRG) en-US SeaMonkey 2.52a1 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build 20170529113726 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit I hope I will find the time to do some additional final tests, soon.

Lets close it. Have not seen another report for this in the support gorups and was able to add a gemail account myself.
