In bug 960841 we decided to turn that feature off, and in bug 1248765 we turned it back on - that latter bug has some good discussions

Thanks for sharing that. I'm trying to get all the details. There have been a lot of discussions about this already but the overall user experience still leaves a lot of room for improvement.
