User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_4) AppleWebKit/603.1.29 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.1 Safari/603.1.29

Steps to reproduce:

I've installed clean Thunderbird to download my old messages from Gmail. Configured as POP and downloaded only 40% of messages, around 25000 messages. Then error started to appear.


Actual results:

I can't download more messages due to "The folder Inbox is full, and can't hold any more messages" error. I selected Thunderbird as reliable email platform to hold my old messages, unfortunately I'm seriously concerned and that I learned Thunderbird has 4GB limitation is making it a simple email tool for simple users, not power users.


Expected results:

Thunderbird should handle Inbox sizes without limit! (I mean, are you kidding, in XXI century a 4GB limit ???)

Please try the beta from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ and report your results - I think version 52 should have what you are looking for

Which version are you using? A Daily, currently at version 54? Or are you using the normal release version TB 45?

That 4GB limit has been dropped a while ago, so TB 52 beta or Daily 54 shouldn't display the message.

Ah! Thanks for quick reply. I've been sure that I was on 52 beta, but reading this makes me think that maybe for some reason I'm on older one! Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes, Thundebird startin with version 52 shouldn't have the 4GB limit. It was released only recently. Please try that one and report if it is fixed, thanks.
