The performance of opening a new tab using the (cmd-T) shortcut on iPad should be much faster. Tapping the newTab button in the TopTabs bar works very well but opening via bluetooth keyboard opens much slower.

Tested on latest master 3aaf9c8721c6a. 

Opening a new tab via hardware keyboard does feel a bit slow in comparison to opening via New Tab button. This is noticeable when holding 'cmd' and rapidly pressing 'T' on hardware keyboard.
