User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.98 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Launched the March 9 version of Nightly and used it briefly. Updated to latest Nightly. Actual results: Nightly updated and launched itself, then crashed. It crashes during every start up, even with Safe Mode. Expected results: It should launch without crashing.
Just saw a similar bug where people mentioned fonts and ClearType. I went and disabled ClearType in Windows 10. Launched Nightly and instead of crashing, it showed a small window asking to choose between Refreshing and starting in Safe Mode. I chose Safe Mode and it launched properly. I closed it and launched in a regular mode successfully. Closed Nightly. Re-enabled ClearType. Launched Nightly successfully. Rebooted the PC. Launched Nightly successfully again. Works every time. Resetting ClearType fixed the issue.
