This bug is a mirror of Lithium Case 00137108 aka https://supportcases.lithium.com/5006100000A1zGe where gave Lithium a spreadsheet:

and we asked them to redirect column B to column F:

Once you have fixed the Russian, Japanese and Polish redirect errors on stage, please let me know and I'll do a quick test on stage.

Thank-you for making progress in making the redirects work.

I will file a FULL later today or early tomorrow!

In the meantine, here is my PARTIAL report on 12 strategic locales:

tl;dr most of them worked but there appears to be a UTF8 or unicode bug in the failing redirects. [1]

Hi Roland,

We made some adjustments and the rewrites are working for us now, can you please confirm? Note that you will see an error that threads don't exist since the same path isn't available on staging, but you can see the rewrite working in your address bar.

We were able to validate the same issue. It looks like there may be an existing rewrite that is causing a conflict. I'll let you know once we have more information.

it still does NOT correctly redirect

Please check into this and give us an update please.

I tried the following two urls:

Both 1. and 2. ERRONEOUSLY redirect to:
https://support-stage.allizom.org/t5/Mozilla-Support-Community/ct-p/Mozilla-EN

Expected result is:
1. redirects to https://support-stage.allizom.org/t5/Problems-with-add-ons-plugins-or/Why-do-Java-Silverlight-Adobe-Acrobat-and-other-plugins-no/ta-p/31069 as per row 2 of the spreadsheet [A]
2. redirects to https://support-stage.allizom.org/t5/Videos-Kl%C3%A4nge-Grafiken-und/Fehlerbehebung-bei-Plugins-wie-Flash-oder-Java-um-verbreitete/ta-p/14044 as per row 19 of the spreadsheet [A]

Based on the above it appears that the redirects aren't working at all on support-stage.allizom.org. Please fix !

tl;dr: lithium is redirecting to 38206 for japanese instead of 9577

Lithium implemented this on production but there are 2 errors in urls involving japanese (the other 90 work thanks!):
